(French) binding completely with the sewing machine to the front and back. As an alternative you
can close the back by hand. Learn all of the secret tips and tricks on how to do this successfully, get
nice, sharp corners and an even sewing line. Different types of binding will be shown in class for you
to make samples for reference. A great class to refresh your binding skills.
Foundation Paper Piecing
May 11, 2020
9.30 - 13.30 (4 Hours)
Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) is a unique sewing technique where you sew directly on paper to
create quilt blocks. The paper is then removed after the block is completed. We will walk you through the FPP process from
beginning to end and include topics such as using directional fabric and fussy cutting patches for all
shapes. We will also take a look at different types of foundation piecing such as paperless and
templates with and without seam allowance.
