When you look at an old blanket or quilt, you can usually figure out when it was sewn simply by the colorway of the fabric. My mother made a couple of patchworks in the 80's, and the colors then were a subdued pink and colonial blue. Today, you see a lot of white with bright colors as well as gray with solids. What are your observations of fabric trends and colors?  I would like to hear from you.

There are so many new fabrics coming out on the market today; it is almost overwhelming, but FANTASTIC at the same time. Before you have a quilt desigend and finished, the fabric line is obsolete and two new lines are out on the market.

I love ALL of the top fabric produces especially Moda and Riley Blake. I find that I am looking for brighter, livlier colors when I design blankets.
